HISTORY OF MIN DHAMA STEEL STRUCTURES

Min Dhama Steel Structures Co., Ltd. (MDSS), is a Myanmar Investment Commission (MIC) approved company that is majority owned by Mottama Holdings Limited. MDSS specializes in the design and fabrication of steel structures and is located at Shwe Pyi Thar Industrial Zone (4), Shwe Pyi Thar Township, Yangon City.
MDSS aims to primarily support the rapidly growing infrastructure development in Myanmar while having additional production capacity to also meet the structural steel requirements within the greater Asian market.

MDSS’s production facility sits within a land area of approximately 70,000m2. MDSS commenced operations with a soft opening in 2014 with an initial production capacity of 36,000 tons per annum and 27,960m2 of fabrication floor area. The factory subsequently underwent two stages of expansion to increase the production capacity to 60,000 tons per annum. With this expansion, the fabrication floor area increased to 55,458m2. Sophisticated machines were installed in all fabrication lines, including the introduction of box column production line, shot blasting facility and airless painting equipment, etc. which will facilitate rustproofing and corrosion protection that conforms to accepted international specifications. There are a total of 5 lines of production to produce steel bridges, steel jackets, steel box columns, heavy steel storage tanks and other structures for large-scale projects. Upon completion of the expansion plans, MDSS held a Grand Opening ceremony on 7th January 2017.
